Chapter Ten

Estella couldn’t help herself. Seeing AJ’s big, brawny body glistening with droplets from the shower he’d just taken and smelling like Ivory soap, fresh fields of daisies after a sun shower, and man, her inner she-Cat hissed wildly with need.

Uh oh, she thought as the first wave of her heat washed over her.

This was so not happening. Gritting her teeth, she closed her eyes, willing it to pass. But AJ stalked across the hallway and Estella felt the moisture between her legs soaking her silk panties.

“’Stella,” he growled, dipping his head slowly, giving her ample time to refuse before he claimed her lips.

Tongues rubbed against each other’s lips parted, and moans echoed in the hallway. She was so hot, so hungry for him. Only him.

Estella hissed, arching helplessly to rub herself on his hard body. She wanted him so badly. She opened her mouth, her heart, and her legs for him, desperate to get closer, even though she knew better.

AJ was a Shifter, and he was simply reacting to her pheromones. There was nothing real between them, and yet, fuck, and yet, she didn’t care. Not one iota. She wanted this. Hell. She needed this.

Inelegant, clumsy even, she pushed against him until his back hit the wall. His hands circled her waist, lifting her up until her skirt was hiked all the way around her waist. She locked her legs around his hips, loving the feel of his erection as it bobbed beneath her ass.

“More,” she moaned as his hands found the zipper on the suddenly too restrictive dress. She needed it off, couldn’t wait to meet him skin for skin, and unsheathed her claws to help him get there faster.

Hard, warm, thick muscles bunched beneath her claw-tipped fingers as AJ moved with her. Pressing their bodies together until not even air could get between them, he growled, and she took his mouth, claimed it as her own.

Slicing through the delicate material, Estella didn’t care about the mess she’d made of the raw silk confection. She hissed as cool air met her heated skin, purred loudly when AJ’s dexterous lips travelled down her neck to latch onto one plump nipple. His tongue toyed with it, teeth tugged, lips closed, and suction built.

Shockwaves of pleasure she’d never felt ran through her, all from his mouth on her one sensitive nipple. Her clever Bear did not stop there, one hand cupped her ass while the other found her slit. Estella’s head reared back and the band that had been holding her hair tumbled loose, freeing her locks so they slid over her shoulders and over his too.

“AJ,” she moaned his name, a litany, a prayer, even as she felt his hands everywhere.

He touched her body with such reverence and care, no one had ever treated her like that. Like she was strong and powerful, yet delicate and soft. An oxymoron, but it felt so right, so good.

Parting her slick folds, he plunged two thick fingers into her heated core.
